Jim Black is the retired Chair of the Department of Business Administration, Vermont State University where he managed and taught courses in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Strategic Planning and Programming Languages. He serves on the broads of River Court Condominium as President, LaunchVT-Collegiate, Lamoille Economic Development Corp., Stowe Rotary, and Team Vermont: Entrepreneurship Collaborative. He was President of Software Seminars Inc., which he started in 1988. His corporate experience includes 5 years with GTE Corporation where held several positions ranging from first line supervisor to long range planning and forecasting. Educationally, Jim has a Ph.D in Systems Science, M.S. in Mathematics, and B.S. in Psychology all from Portland State University. Jim spends his winters in Vero Beach Florida and summers in Vermont with is wife Paula Ennis. Between the two, there are 8 children. His hobbies are writing, motorcycles, and enjoying Florida Sunshine.
